Rule 17
List of Weapons
(1) If a license holder wants to give up his right by selling any of his weapons to someone else or in any other way, both the giver and taker of such right should submit an application to the Chief District Officer in the format specified in Schedule 13 and 14 respectively. If the person who has such right has a license to purchase or if it is determined that a license should be given after investigation regarding such a person, the chief district officer will give permission to sell or give up the right after taking a nominal fee of one thousand rupees. But a person who has diplomatic privilege can sell or give away the right only after taking the approval of the Ministry of Home Affairs through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
(2) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (1), if a licensed person dies and his next-of-kin applies to the Chief District Officer for the transfer of his firearm, the Chief District Officer shall not grant it. It should be registered in the name of such right holder according to this regulation. B (2) A person who has received a firearms license shall not sell or transfer firearms to anyone other than the firearms mentioned in sub-rule (1) of Rule 3.
(9) A person who has received a firearms license shall not be allowed to sell or transfer firearms that are not prohibited under sub-rule 3 until five years have been paid from the date of obtaining the license.
(5) When making an application according to sub-rule (23), the application shall be made by the concerned owner or through the heir within 6 months from the date of death of the licensee.
(5a) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (5), if there was an exemption for the registration of any arms and ammunition during the commencement of this sub-rule, two thousand five hundred rupees for each financial year if an application is made by the end of June 2079 for the last time. Namsari will be done by taking Namsari Dastur. 5(Sh) No one shall renew the license even within the period specified in sub-rule (5A).In case of non-compliance or non-registration of arms and ammunition, such license will automatically be revoked and the relevant arms and ammunition will be confiscated. (6) This rule shall not be considered as a hindrance to the sale of any type of arms and weapons by the licensed person to foreign nationals with the approval of the Nepal Government.
